ATLAS Staking
ATLAS staking creates an on-chain stake position with its own age, reward eligibility and exit burn. Mainnet uses age-based tiers, while Atlas Stars uses a separate participation calculation.
Mainnet Lifecycle
| Stake age | Protocol rewards | Unstake burn |
|---|---|---|
| Less than 30 days | Not eligible | 10% |
| 30 to less than 60 days | Eligible | 1% |
| 60 days or more | Eligible | 0.2% |
How It Works
- Stake ATLAS and create an on-chain position.
- Let the position mature.
- Eligible positions participate in configured protocol-revenue rewards.
- Claim available rewards when the interface shows them.
- Unstake and receive ATLAS minus the burn for the position’s current age tier.
Burn Never Reaches Zero
Mainnet documentation currently shows a permanent minimum unstake burn of 0.2% after 60 days. The burn is determined by the position age at the moment of exit.
Staking Stars Are Separate
ATLAS staking can also earn Atlas Stars, but Stars use their own Season 1 rate, caps and review cycle. Protocol reward maturation does not replace Stars verification.
