Closing a Position
Closing a position fixes the trading result and begins settlement. The position can briefly remain in a pending-payout state while Vault accounting is updated and the resulting stablecoins are paid.
How to Close
- Find the position in the active positions panel.
- Choose Close.
- Review the estimated price PnL and borrow fee.
- Sign the transaction in your wallet.
Payout Calculation
payout = max(0, collateral + price_pnl - borrow_fee)
The opening fee is paid at entry and is not deducted a second time from the closing payout. ADA costs and reserves are accounted for separately.
Borrow Fee
Borrow fees compensate Vault liquidity for backing open positions. The fee depends on position size, configured market rates and the completed holding periods recorded by the protocol.
Automatic Closing
Liquidation and take-profit/stop-loss triggers can also close the full position. Partial close is not supported in the current documented release.
