Trading Fees
AtlasDeFi trading costs can include an opening fee in the collateral asset, a configured ADA order fee, time-based borrow fees and ordinary Cardano transaction fees.
Fee Types
| Cost | How it works |
|---|---|
| Opening fee | Charged on position size when an Open is fulfilled. |
| Order / network fee | Configured ADA amount associated with the Atlas order flow. |
| Borrow fee | Accrues while the position remains open and settles into the Vault. |
| Cardano transaction fee | Ledger fee for the transaction you sign. |
Opening Fee
opening_fee = position_size × opening_fee_rate
The opening fee is based on position size rather than collateral. Use the current trading interface for the active rate instead of relying on an old snapshot.
Borrow Fee
Borrow fees accrue according to the market configuration and the protocol’s cumulative rate accounting. The close review shows the current estimate before settlement fixes the amount.
Net PnL vs Payout
net_pnl = price_pnl - opening_fee - borrow_fee
estimated_payout = max(0, collateral + price_pnl - borrow_fee)
The opening fee is included in lifetime net PnL but is not deducted a second time from the closing payout.
