Managing a Position

After a position is active, risk can change as market price and borrow fees move. AtlasDeFi exposes the current position state so you can review equity, liquidation distance and available management actions.

Monitor Position Health

• Current position equity and price PnL.
• Accrued borrow fee estimate.
• Current leverage and liquidation price.
• Whether a close or trigger action is pending.

Adding Collateral

Where the selected market supports collateral management, adding collateral increases the margin backing the same position size. This generally reduces effective leverage and moves the liquidation threshold farther from the current price. Review the recalculated values before signing.

Removing Collateral

Removing collateral keeps position size unchanged but increases effective leverage and moves liquidation risk closer. The resulting position must continue to satisfy the current product and protocol risk limits.

Closing vs Managing

Managing collateral does not partially close the position. To exit the trade, use Close or an eligible TP/SL or liquidation path.
