Opening a Position
Opening a position creates directional perpetual exposure using supported stablecoin collateral. The final position is created only after the signed order passes the applicable market and on-chain checks.
Steps
- Choose an active market.
- Choose Long if you expect the market to rise or Short if you expect it to fall.
- Enter supported collateral.
- Set leverage.
- Review estimated entry price, liquidation price, slippage and fees.
- Sign the transaction.
Position Details
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Direction | Long or Short exposure. |

| Collateral | Stablecoin value committed to the position. |
| Leverage | Exposure multiplier. |

Market vs Limit Orders
Market: executes when processed at the available market price, subject to slippage and protocol checks. Limit: waits for the configured trigger price; a Long limit is intended to execute at or below its limit and a Short limit at or above its limit.
Pending Orders and Cancellation
An order can be waiting for a wallet signature, submitted to the chain, indexed but awaiting fill, or already filled. If an unprocessed order is still cancellable, use the Pending area and sign the cancellation transaction.
