Unstaking & Burn
Unstaking returns the position’s ATLAS balance minus the burn configured for its age tier. The burn permanently removes that portion from circulation.
Current Mainnet Burn Tiers

| 30 to less than 60 days | 1% |
| 60 days or more | 0.2% |
How to Unstake
- Open the Staking page and connect the wallet that owns the position.
- Choose Unstake.
- Select the stake position.
- Review its age, current burn tier and returned amount.
- Sign the unstaking transaction.
Burn Timing
The burn tier is determined at the moment the position exits. Waiting until the next maturation tier can materially change the amount burned.
Permanent Minimum Burn
The documented Mainnet structure has no zero-burn tier. At 60 days or more, the current burn remains 0.2%. Always review the live staking interface before signing because on-chain configuration can change.
